suck the fat one we're faking history
the outcast was in vegas and published something!

Hi there, single speed fans.

In one of the bravest moves in publishing history, The Outcast magazine managed to produce a daily, printed and online magazine from the Interbike bike show in Las Vegas, september 2000.

What was so brave? Well, we went out of our way to make it the most hazardous and daunting publishing job in the world. We didn't cover the show - that's what the proper magazines do - we covered all the beer drinking and parties that always accompany such large gatherings of the cycling community.

Chipps went to all the parties and instead of truly partying he pondered, then he typed up some stories and downloaded pictures to Biff, the Outcast's designer.

Who was in England...

He designed it, pronto, and uploaded it to the Kinko's copy store in Las Vegas who printed it out and delivered it to the show in time for morning coffee (kind of), enabling still-hungover show-goers to see what they really got up to the previous evening.

Of course, it was more trouble than it was worth, but memories of pain fade.

Those of you who weren't at the show can download the daily issues in handy-dandy pdf format here. This is a rare moment indeed - we are giving you are beloved content for free! Click the covers.
